Which councils are supported?
BinMe currently covers Sevenoaks District Council. We're expanding — if your area isn't listed, keep an eye out on this page for when it is.
How do I sign up?
Text BINME to [NUMBER] from your mobile. We'll guide you through setup via SMS — it takes about two minutes. No app and no account to get started.
Which bin types are covered?
All standard household bin types: general waste, recycling, food waste, and garden waste. During setup you can choose which ones apply to your address.
When will I receive my reminder?
You choose — either the evening before your collection or the morning of. You can change this at any time by texting CHANGE to [NUMBER].
What happens on bank holidays?
When your council moves a collection due to a bank holiday, we send you an updated reminder with the revised date. You don't need to do anything — we track changes automatically.
How much does it cost?
£10 per year. Standard network message rates apply for texts you send to us.
How do I change my preferences?
Text CHANGE to [NUMBER] and we'll guide you through updating your postcode, bin types, and reminder timing.
How do I cancel?
Text STOP to [NUMBER] at any time. Your reminders stop immediately and your data is deleted. No questions asked.
Can I use BinMe for more than one address?
Each phone number is linked to one address. If you need reminders for multiple addresses, get in touch at help@binme.uk.
